DESCRIPTION:The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) is an educational\, research and scientific association of physicians organized to raise the standards of the medical practice of anesthesiology and to improve patient care. As of 2023\, the organization included more than 57\,000 national and international members and has more than 100 full-time employees. \nMembership is open to holders of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degrees who are licensed practitioners and have successfully completed a training program in anesthesiology approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA). \nThe ASA also maintains an active resident component\, medical student component as well as an anesthesiologist assistant component. Non-physician providers of anesthesia care (anesthesiologist assistants\, nurse anesthetists\, dentist\, veterinarians\, APRNs) can join as educational members. \nASA is governed by its House of Delegates. The House of Delegates is composed of ASA delegates and directors (designated by geographic distribution)\, ASA officers\, all past presidents\, the Editor-in-Chief of the journal\, the chairs of all sections\, the chair of the ASA delegation to the American Medical Association House of Delegates and each member of the Resident Component Governing Council not to exceed five members and a non-voting member of the Medical Student component. The House of Delegates meets each year during the Society’s Annual Meeting.

DESCRIPTION:O Congresso Cearense de Anestesiologia (CCA) e XXVII Jornada Cearense de Anestesiologia (Jocan) é \n\n\n\n\no principal evento científico da especialidade no Estado. \n\n\n\n\nO I CCA surgiu da necessidade de expandir as atividades da Jocan e será realizado seguindo o mesmo formato\, porém implantando novas ações que visam ampliar ainda mais a programação e as inovações tecnológicas da especialidade. \nO CCA acontecerá uma vez por ano e contará com uma vasta programação formada por whorkshops\, cursos\, conferências e tutoriais\, palestras\, aulas teóricas e práticas\, além de conteúdos inéditos apresentados por renomados especialistas e importantes autoridades médicas. \nO evento concretiza o propósito da Saec de fomentar o conhecimento científico\, promovendo capacitação e atualização dos profissionais da anestesiologia local e de todo o país\, residentes e estudantes. \nAlém de oferecer uma ampla abordagem de temas importantes e inovadores na anestesia\, o Congresso também dará enfoque aos fundamentos teóricos\, às aplicações acadêmicas e profissionais da Anestesiologia\, apresentando novas técnicas\, metodologias\, medicamentos e instrumentos utilizados atualmente no dia a dia do médico anestesista. \nO Congresso Cearense de Anestesiologia chegou com uma programação bem consolidada\, sobretudo pela importância do evento para a classe médica e acadêmica\, bem como para os especialistas que já estão atuando no mercado profissional cearense. \nUma das novidades da programação deste ano será os temas livres\, uma oportunidade para apresentação de teses e trabalhos científicos durante o evento.
